I am a teen diagnosed with ocd and depression. I’m having a ongoing fear for the past month of being a zoophile. I really hate this and I sometimes feel like I just cant live like this. Let me explain.
At around 13 years old I remember I petted my dog while i touched my self over my clothes. I hate writing this out. I had a panic attack and obsessed for hours straight when I remembered. Its torturous.
I also have a thing where I get a genital reaction from seeing cute things. Not like a sexual one but I still hate myself. I’m wondering if this was part ofthe reason I did that thing.
I hate myself. I feel horrible. Those weren’t ocd actions and reactions; I only recently started being pestered by this. I guess I didn’t realize that I should be which I hate myself for.
Someone please help. I cant stand this. I feel sick and ashamed and angry. Respond I’m begging!!!

Hey, I’m sorry things arae hard for you at the moment but well done for asking for help. Have you spoken to your therapist about these thoughts? You should have been referred for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) when you were diagnosed with OCD – did that happen? If not, how would you feel about asking your doctor to refer you for CBT?
Your therapist will help you identify all the ways in which you feed your thoughts and encourage you to stop those harmful behaviours. CBT has a really good success rate so it’s worth the hard workÂ

Is there any reason you stopped going to therapy? E.g. did your sessions run out or you didn't want to go any more or you felt it wasn't helpful? It's important that you do CBT as treatment for OCD because other types of therapy can make OCD worse

I’m on meds. Therapy stopped bcz it was like two yrs ago and I was too immature and my therapist referred me to an adhd/autism therapist thinking i have that but I haven’t gone yet.

It's good that you've been referred but it's still really important you can do CBT for OCD at some point. Well done for recognising you were too immature to engage with it though. Hopefully now you understand that you can change it for next time. Was it CBT you were doing with your old therapist?

I did do cbt. The only thing is I’m afraid this thing isnt normal and isnt caused by ocd or whatever and I’m some kind of perv or weirdo. I was thirteen. And I’m 14 now. So my main thing is wanting to know what’s going on with me
