Have your say on youth mental health services
Since the launch of our OCD Youth project, the OCD Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) have been working hard to ensure that the voices of young people are heard. We are always searching for ways to get involved and influence change and you now have a fantastic opportunity to have your say on mental health services for young people.
The Youth Select Committee (YSC) is a British Youth Council initiative, supported by the House of Commons. Each year, the YSC hold an inquiry into different issues faced by young people, and this year, mental health services was chosen as the priority campaign. So on the 26th June and 3rd July, the YSC will be heading to Parliament, to collate evidence from a leading panel of experts, young people and MP’s, which will then be submitted to the Government as a report later this year.
So how can you help?
Using social media, the YSC want to hear from members of the public as to what their thoughts are on mental health services for young people, and what questions they would like to hear asked during the inquiry. If you have thoughts or questions about this, please share them on Twitter using the relevant hastags: #youthselect and #mentalhealth.
Don’t miss out, it’s time to act!
