OCD Week of Action is back: 19th-25th February 2018

Here at OCD Youth, we’re really looking forward to our annual campaigning event, none other than Week of Action! Taking place between the 19th and 25th of February, we want it to be one of our biggest yet and we need your help to make it happen! Are you up to the challenge?!
What?
OCD Week of Action (#OCDwoa) is a campaigning week where we are encouraging everyone to take action against OCD and fight back. The YAP will all be taking part, whether it’s something as small as an Instagram post or even a live video on social media.
Who?
#OCDwoa is aimed at anyone affected by OCD (including family and friends!) or anyone who has interest in campaigning to make a difference for people with OCD. We may be in 2018, but mental health stigma is still rife, and this needs to change. If you want to try and make a difference, then #OCDwoa is the perfect opportunity to do just that!
Where?
All over the world! #OCDwoa was set up four years ago by a team of volunteers at the Charity, and every year we see it reaching more and more people across the country, and now the world. This year, we have already had people from the USA and Canada ordering materials so they can support the week, so wherever you are based, you can get involved!
How?
How can you get involved? Good question! There are a number of things you can do to take part in this week! Click each link to find out more:
Order an action pack
Last year we created and distributed action packs. These packs were filled with information and resources to help support you, and to help you get involved with #OCDwoa. This year we will be sending out packs again, but they are far more jam-packed than last year, and you can choose exactly what goes in your pack so everything you receive will be useful for you! We will start to send out packs on 12th February, but if you want to get your name on our distribution list to ensure you don’t miss out, email your postal address to media@ocdaction.org.uk.
Share our videos
OCD is treatable, and who better to tell you this than those who have battled OCD themselves? We will be sharing some inspirational videos during #OCDwoa, and we would like you to watch and share them as much as you can, so that more people know OCD can and will get better if you keep fighting. The videos are staying a secret for now, but will be available on our website and social media channels during #OCDwoa itself.
