Rescheduled Parents’ Webinar – 2 Oct

It gave me expert advice, made me realise we needed expert help, connected me with others and expanded my knowledge of OCD in kids and how to deal with it

OCD Action is hosting an online seminar for parents of children with OCD called “Coping with transitions: new schools, moving house and other life changes”. The date of this seminar has been changed to and will now take place on 2nd October.

Presentations are from Maudsley clinicians, question & answers at the end, and it’s a good opportunity to meet other parents of children with OCD.

Giving the presentation this time around will be Georgina Krebs, who is a Clinical Psychologist at the Maudsley Hospital (Centre of Excellence in OCD).

Feedback from previous seminars has been extremely positive. “It gave me expert advice, made me realise we needed expert help, connected me with others and expanded my knowledge of OCD in kids and how to deal with it,” says an attendee of a previous seminar.

“It was really great to have access to speakers with expertise in OCD in kids and it was hard to replicate this alone,” says another parent.

Parents of children with OCD are able to book places, which will allow them to log into the webinar, listen to the presentation and ask the presenter questions at the end.

“Being able to get answers right away” was particularly useful for one parent. “We could ask questions without having to wait to make an appointment to see someone”

These seminars usually take place on the third Tuesday of every month from 7-8 pm.

If any parents of children with OCD would like more information about the seminars, or would like to book a place, they can contact Trish Macleod on 020 7253 5272 or at trish@ocdaction.org.uk
