Hey so I’m back and I want to talk about more of my symptoms and I have one question. Does HOCD include bisexuality, because I’m starting to worry I’m bi too. I also can’t build up confidence to tall with a loved 1 about this. I’m afraid they’ll take it harshly, or the wrong way. But I still need help. I’m worrying about things I did/said in the past is what caused this. I’m looking up stereotypes. (Luckily, I dont relate to them at all) but it’s not enough. At night I worry a lot. I dont feel aroused when I want to, which scares me the most. Keep in mind I’m 12 year old Male. I also worry I do stuff too feminine. If you have any questions ask me and I’ll tell you.

The intrusive thoughts come with OCD can be about absolutely anything. The important thing is not the label you put on it but the fact that they take up so much of your life!
I understand it can be really hard to talk to your family about your intrusive thoughts. Unfortunately, a person who is under 16 often won’t be able to go to the GP without their parents knowing so you might need to speak to your parents or guardian.
Whether you see a professional or not, the recommended treatment is called Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). It involves identifying the ways you react to your intrusive thoughts (compulsions) and gradually learning to put a stop to those behaviours. Those compulsions could be things like looing for reassurance on the internet or replaying past memories to see if they ’caused’ anything bad to happen. It’s hard to stop those compulsions but it’s worth it!
